Wedding Centrepieces with Manzanita Branches

This post is about my gorgeous wedding centrepieces. I got married in December of 2011 and wanted a wedding that was full of sparkle. I was looking for centrepieces that were magical and suited the season. All the centrepieces I saw were small and overpriced. That is why my husband and I decided to create our own. We created centrepieces with big manzanita branches and dangling crystals. Here is a photo from our wedding:

To create these beautiful centrepieces you will need:
Manzanita branches
Pots
 Hanging crystals
Plaster of Paris
Bag of stones

Once you get your branches, trim each branch and remove the leaves. To secure the branches fill the pot with plaster of paris. Tie the branches against a chair, so they stay in the centre of the pot while it dries. I added 10 hanging crystals to each branch. To make the branch really sparkle I went to the dollar store and found gold leaves. I cut the leaves apart and tied them on the branch. The end result was stunning!!!!! The centrepieces made the room very elegant. They added a beautiful sparkle to the night! It was a lot of work but well worth it. A year and a half later, I still see our centrepieces in friends/family homes.
